Its fascinating how when men lived in sin,they depended totally on Self, and when they come to the knowledge of christ and surrender there lives to christ they still depend on self.
If you look at the new testaments and how the apostles made reference to whatever the christians had,the most common words used which many folks ten to overlook is “IN HIM”.
As a christian you have nothing on your own,everything you have is in christ,everything you do should be in christ,at least thats if you want to live a hitch free christian life without struggling or going back and forth,
The strength to leave your old life and addiction now that you’re in christ is IN. HIM and not in your will power,the grace to keep keeping on no matter the trial and temptations that may come your way is IN HIM,the grace to study the word and pray effectively now that you’re in him ,is IN HIM.
John 15 gives us a clearer picture of staying in him.
Joh 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
Joh 15:2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
Joh 15:3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
Joh 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Joh 15:6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
Joh 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.
Joh 15:8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

*laughs* isn’t it just amazing how the word of God gives light to your understanding,this couldn’t be any clearer,
Verse 3 & 4 are just too great, by the words of God you have been made clean(you have given your life to christ,you have been set free from sin).
So all you need to do is remain in Jesus(IN HIM), and he will remain in you and YOU SHALL BEAR MUCH FRUIT!!!!, is your life fruitless,has it been the same for too long,then stay in HIM,rely on him and all that will change.
Verse 7 says something interesting also,that if you remain IN HIM and you keep his words in you,just ask anything and there is a 100% assurance of you getting it.
And i pray that the Lord God in heaven gives you the grace to remain IN HIM,in Jesus Name Amen.
