One phrase a lot of folks use while travailing for a besetting sin to go away is “Lord i’ve done everything”.
There is nothing wrong with doing all you’re meant to do to be free. But one question people ignore is “how did you do it?”, “What was your process in doing it?”.
You’re praying to be free from a besetting sin, yes you know you need to study the word of God, listen to some messages and pray without ceasing, i’m not saying thats basically all but yes you did all that but in between the time you do all this, you still go and meddle around things that will send you back to the besetting sin.
The bible says in james 1 : 14-15
14 But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).
15 Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.
That besetting sin is not going to go away if you keep hanging around triggers that will start it back up.
Yes you may be praying,fasting reading your bible thats all good, God would be pleased but you have to start being concerned with what you do while you are not praying,fasting and doing all God wants.
All of that is in the process,and if you dont want to keep breaking the circuit of power from God,watch the process.
Only you would know all the triggers that keeps sending you back,choose to seperate yourself from them today.and keep doing all God wants you to do and you’ll be free In Jesus Name.Amen.
