Opportunity Cost

O

I love the way the dictionary on my laptop puts it : ““the loss of other alternatives when one alternative is chosen.”“, I’m no economics expert but its quite a simple concept i learned a few years back in secondary(high) school, when you pick an option or pay for something, the other options you didn’t choose/pay for is the opportunity cost to what you picked/payed for.

With that definition set,I’d like to get to the point today, the opportunity cost was brought about due to scarce resources and one having to make a choice with the available options, which brings us to the next question, what is the scarce resource? Ans: **Your Life!**, yes! your life! there is no duplicate for it, there is only one and you have to make the right choice for it, the available options for your life are God and the devil, and you have to choose and there is no dilly-dallying in this case because its just like playing around when it comes to making a financial decision if you keep going back and forth perching into all options with your very limited resources it will finish and you will end up not choosing anything, except in this case your indecisiveness and you not truly giving up all you have left aside for God will give you a straight ride hell, yes hell.

In this race there is no room for indecisiveness thats why paul said in Hebrew 12:1 that we should lay aside every weight!, those weights are the opportunity cost and if you want to achieve the prize which is Jesus, those weights must be dropped and dropped for good, no picking them again when you’re feeling bored/sad/ depressed, no picking them up when things are not going as planned, “those weight are the opportunity cost for choosing Jesus and you must keep them that way“.
