Potters are great, I think they’re the most kind and loving people one can ever meet, I mean these men and women are the most visionary people and at best the most forgiving and none prejudice people ever.
Why if you must ask, it’s their creative process, some creatives take color and beauty and make it better and more beautiful but not the potters, they go to the dirtiest of the dirtiest to get what they need (Clay), they are not disgusted by where the clay is, had been or who has stepped on the clay, No! they see that dirty clay that is available for use and see the best in it, they do not just see a beautiful mug they also see it being used by royalty, they see this mug giving people joy while using it.
Don’t be naive, they’re times that the ground seems too dirty and friends tell potters don’t dig there, “isn’t it too filthy?”,”it will make you dirty” But a real potter knows that’s where the Gold is.
Many at times Gold is presented to us but in different forms, most times they are dirty, trampled upon, and have a rumpled past, Gold here can be people or opportunities. it’s time we learn to be forgiving and visionary like our Savior Jesus:
John 4:39 Many of the Samaritans in that town believed in Jesus because the woman had said, “He told me everything I have ever done.”
This is a wonderful case where Jesus didn’t have to speak to this Samaritan woman, I mean it was degrading for him to be seen with not just a Samaritan woman but a woman of her past record but that didn’t stop him, he saw the wonderful Joy ahead that, the woman would have and also bring to the kingdom, Be a potter today and don’t let comments from the outside and judgements from people keep you from seeing the very best in people, they could need it more than you can ever imagine. See the joy ahead, ignore the critics and do what God wants you to do.
PS: Don’t be the person that discourages potters or drops negative comments about people too.
