One of the devils strong points is patience
He doesn’t care how long he stands beside you lingering,waiting and TEMPTING, all he is out for is that you should fall.
And the truth is many of us think he has gone after the first temptation and we then decide to not watch and pray with the notion(whew i have triumphed over the temptation). Yes you did but it was just stage one out of 1000+ still coming your way.
Lets use the example of a hungry man, when he ask for food and is refused does he simply go?,NO!,he perseveres and tries again and waits beside hoping the person will give him in due time,
And thats how the devil is, he is hungry to see you out of Gods favor ,in hell as he is and he will come once to tempt you and you can triumph and say no,but he is not even going to come back because he is still there,he hasn’t left yet simply waiting and still tempting waiting patiently for you to fall!!!!
So lets learn from 1 cor 10:12, which says we should be careful if we think we stand firm so that we will not fall,
And ,this is also for those who haven’t or can’t even say no , 1 cor 10:13,says that any temptation that comes your way,God knows and allowed it, and he will not allow any temptation that you cannot withstand,meaning God saw it and allowed it, trusting that you can do it,that you can withstand it,Maybe you have not seen temptations in this light but look at it from the view that God has faith and trust that CAN do it,but its left to you to DO it,maybe you don’t understand this fully ,someone that knows you more than you know yourself allowed the temptation to come your way,do not let the devil tell you how impossible it is to say no to the temptation,tell yourself through the word that God Said ,I can overcome this temptation and be sure to be very fervent in prayer also,ensuring that while using the word of God as a defense from temptation, you are also attacking the devil chasing him from your presence (you know thats how a battle works you defend yourself and attack the enemy) and by Gods Grace the devils patience will be ineffective in your life in Jesus name
