The Dale Dike reservoir came down to pieces by a little opening in the wall,they tried to patch it up but it was too late,the did all they could but as your know water is too tricky and it passes every where available , and a small opening became a huge crack and the whole wall came crashing down.
So our lives are when we leave tiny or very little opening to sin,and sin spreads like a virus duplicating more of itself in your life .honestly it’s saddening that we always let them in because we see them as too little without realising that this opening that seems so little can bring our whole life crashing down. It can kill all God has planned for you and bring your wonderful journey so far to an abrupt end.
It’s wonderful how the bible tells us in,
Mar 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
1Co 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Oh!,the spirit is not just ready but truly ready but the flesh is weak,and that’s just it straight from Jesus,the flesh knows that if it makes a little opening it can break free from the spiritual subjection from the word of God and that is what it strives for daily,and so Jesus is tellIng you today that all you need to do is keep your spirit man alert by watching and praying and your flesh will not take over.
The next time you find yourself in a situation of your flesh asking for a very tiny little opening,remind yourself that this little opening will be your first step to your life crashing down and the means to an end of all Gods effort in you so far,and may the Spirit of the Lord Strengthen you to say no to the devil in Jesus Name,Amen.
